Becoming a MODEACC seller: the documents you need
Signing up itself takes a few minutes, but document verification is what actually opens the shop. Here's exactly what's required, and why.
The three documents required
A national ID (CIN) to verify the seller's identity; a business registration or, failing that, self-employed ("auto-entrepreneur") status, to verify the activity is declared; and bank account details (RIB) in the seller's name, to which payouts are sent. A full business registration is therefore not mandatory — self-employed status is enough to get started.
Why exactly these documents
Each answers a concrete need: the ID prevents fake accounts and protects buyers; proof of activity (business registration or self-employed status) is what allows MODEACC to legally pay out income to a seller; and the bank details, which must be in the same name as the ID, guarantee the money goes to the seller and no one else.
How long validation takes
Once all three documents are submitted, validation happens within 48 hours. The most useful tip remains simple: clear, readable photos of the documents avoid an extra back-and-forth that needlessly extends the delay.
